UTN Headquarters participated in the Inter-University Karate Tournament
The UTN Headquarters team participated in the karate tournament on April 24, which was organized by the Universidad Estatal a Distancia, UNED, in collaboration with the Sports Commission of CONARE-FECUNDE.
This event was held under the virtual modality, with the participation of la Universidad de Costa Rica, la Universidad Nacional, la Técnica Nacional de Costa Rica y la Universidad Estatal a Distancia de Costa Rica, also with the participation of 3 international universities, such as Universidad Especializada de las Américas de Panamá, Universidad de El Salvador, Universidad Pedagógica Nacional Francisco Morazán de Honduras.
La Universidad Técnica Nacional won in the three categories in which it participated, obtaining a bronze medal in each category. It was a competition with students from several careers that are part of the sports disciplines of Official Representation.
For the K1 Category (Kata individual female beginners) UNED won first place, UCR won second place, and UTN third place.
In category K5 (intermediate individual male Kata), the gold medal was won by UPNFM, the silver medal by UNA, and the bronze medal by UTN.
The last category in which UTN participated was K6 (advanced individual male Kata),
where UNA won first place, UNED second place, and UTN third place.
